One day, I was craving Super Mario on my iPod. I could have use my Wii but it's not portable. I did have Gridlee with Vs. Super Mario Bros., but it's not the same.
I decided to look up some emulators for my iPod. I looked up "emulator no jailbreak" or something like that as I'm not jailbroken.
Everything on the page was either jailbroken or a total scam. But there was one new one on the page that I hadn't seen.
So I tapped on the video. I saw that it was about installing GBA4iOS. I had heard about GBA4iOS before, but to install it, you needed to sign it with an iOS Developer account, which, unfortunately, I didn't have.
I watched it and saw that you didn't need to be jailbroken OR have a Dev account. I followed the tutorial and it used MacBuild Server. I tried it, but somewhere in the process, it failed and gave some sort of error. I think it was on step 2 of 3.
Slightly disappointed, I gave up on it for the day. The next day, I tried some more, I think while watching TV. It failed a few times, but eventually worked. I tried it and loved it. I also found something called "nds4ios" and I installed it, but you needed to use iTunes File Sharing to import ROMs. So I deleted it.
I continued playing with GBA4iOS. An update came out and I tried installing it. But my Wi-Fi went out in the middle of installation and so I deleted it, thinking that I would reinstall it later. Later came and it failed on step 2.
I thought to myself that I didn't want to resign it every time I had to install it, only when there was an update. So I decided to make a website. I was trying to sign GBA4iOS and nds4ios, but neither of them would sign. That week, my parents got mad at me and banned me from the computer and my iPod for (I think) a week.
When I got them back, I went to sign them but it failed again. I searched up what the problem was and all I got were stuff mentioning "Emu4iOS" and stuff Emu4iOS related. I found out what Emu4iOS was and was quite disappointed that I wasn't the first to do something like that. This was the first time, but not the last that I tried to launch something but PyroFilmsFX beat me to it. These are called PyroAttacks. New word, came up with it a couple hours ago.
So I used Emu4iOS for a while. I used it up until they went to Weebly, where I've always hosted my websites since 2012. I hated forums at that point and I decided to make an alternative.
I used all Emu4iOS links. I marketed the new website (NJA) as an alternative to Emu4iOS, and not the original, since technically I wasn't the first to do it.
But the links weren't mine so I wasn't satisfied. So somehow, I got MBS to work. I posted them. And that's how NJA came about.
Pyro has continued beating me to do random stuff and Emu4iOS took off the forums, just as they were getting really funny and entertaining.
One thing NJA has had that came out before Emu4iOS had (iNoCydia) was the ability to have your own page. This has always been there. If you have a great idea that has to do with NJA or iPhone, contact me at [email protected] and we'll try to work something out.
Same thing with the new NJA update. If you have a good iOS-related theme, send in a Weebly website demo and I'll check it out.
Thanks so much for reading the history of NoJailbreakApps, and until next time,
Stay jailed!
NJA owner,
Justin
PS: Just kidding, go ahead an jailbreak if you want! The Evad3ers have put out Evasi0n7 at evasi0n.com so check it out!
